About the President

Rachel Sunday has been actively working in the employee benefits industry for 20 years, serving on the broker and carrier side. Starting out with a small consulting firm in the late 90’s she later ventured to the carrier side where she worked for CIGNA. After being with CIGNA as a liaison between employer and the sales team, she was recruited to one of the top 10 employee brokerage firms in the nation. Rachel learned the ins and outs of employee benefits, underwriting, implementation, wellness and compliance. Rachel then moved to a more regional firm in Orange County where she worked as an Account Executive responsible for not only producing new business, but also being a strategic consultant. Rachel is well versed in both small and large group coverage. She has experience with limited medical, fully insured and self-funded plans and can integrate wellness into all of them. She has excellent relationships with her insurance carrier partners throughout Southern California. Rachel can also assist employers with selecting the best partners when it comes to technology, such as payroll, HRIS, online enrollment, and other programs that offer ease of administration and helps keep a business focused on their business.

Her role and pledge to her clients is to always do what’s right for the company. To keep each client compliant when it comes to state and federal mandates, and the Affordable Care Act. To offer not great service, but stellar service. And to be a long-term partner and friend to her clients for their ongoing and ever changing needs.  She strives to be a trusted advisor.

Rachel currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Employee Benefits Planning Association of Southern California as the President.  She is also active in ProVisors and Vistage.

She is the former VP, Finance and sat on the Executive Committee for Professionals in Human Resources Association (PIHRA).
